- NPR = Northern Plains Region – one of thirteen regions of the North American Baptist Conference of Churches.
- MBA = Manitoba Baptist Association – one of two associations of churches that makes up the NPR.
- NCA = North Central Association – one of two associations of churches that makes up the NPR.
- NAB = North American Baptist Conference of Churches – an international denomination of churches located in Canada and the United States.
- NPLM = Northern Plains Leadership Movement – a group that promotes and resources leadership development in NPR churches.
The key leader of the Northern Plains Region is our Regional Minister Phyl Putz. Phyl oversees the day to day ministry to and for churches in the region.
To assist Phyl in setting direction and planning is the Regional Leadership Team. This team consists of representatives from both the Manitoba Baptist Association (MBA) and the North Central Association NCA).
Representing the Manitoba Association are: Dr. Barry Thiessen, Moderator of the MBA and Pastor of Fort Richmond Baptist Church in Winnipeg along with Dave Henkelman, Secretary of the MBA and Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris, MB.
Representing the North Central Association are: Dr. David Lake, Moderator of the NCA and Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Harvey, ND along with James Schnabel, Vice Moderator of the NCA and a farmer outside of Venturia, ND.
